Brussels: As per 1 April 2016 the Bavarian Representation to the EU is headed by jurist and previously leading permanent secretary (Ministerialrätin) at the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, structures and transport, Ms Barbara Schretter. 

As Ministerialrätin Ms Schretter led the bureau for Communication and Citizens’ Dialogue. 

Ms Schretter’s representation to the EU is an arm of the Bavarian Ministry of European Affairs and Regional Relations whose portfolio is headed by Minister Dr. Beate Merk since 10 October 2013.
