For the very first time in its 147 years old tradition, Germany’s second largest bank, Commerzbank, shall appoint a lady to its Board of Directors, namely Bettina Orlopp (45).

She shall be in charge for Compliance, Staff and Law, that is, in charge for main salespeople and securities traders whilst implementing staff downsizing. Hitherto she serves as Executive Vice-President for Group Development and Strategy.

Commerzbank was founded in 1870 in Hamburg, then German Empire.
