Tuesday, 26 June 2018, The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands: At a special session held at the headquarters of the Organization against the Proliferation of Chemical Weapons, Deputy Secretary John Sullivan reiterated the USA its commitment to ending the usage of chemical weapons by state and non-state actors. Secretary Sullivan once more condemned on behalf of the US the recent chemical weapon attacks in Syria, the UK, Malaysia, and Iraq.

“The increased use of chemical weapons has created a global crisis, and we must give the OPCW the tools to deter, prevent, and respond to chemical weapons attacks, including empowering it to attribute who is responsible for chemical weapons use in Syria” he said during his allocution to the assembled dignitaries.
