On Tuesday October 13th at 18h Dr. Harmen Beukers, Professor and Special Collections associated with the Scaliger Institute of Leiden University, will received an imperial award during a ceremony at the residence of the Japanese ambassador.
Professor Beukers will be distinguished in the name of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan with the Order of the Rising Sun, golden rays with neck ribbon. This in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of academic exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and the Netherlands.
