The Ambassador of Spain in the Netherlands H.E. Ms. Maria Alonso, in her first National Day address in The Hague, toasted on the longstanding friendship between the Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Ambassador Alonso noted that the occasion also celebrates Christopher Columbus arrival to the Americas on 12 October 1492. A huge military parade in Madrid is the highlight of the celebrations.
A few hundreds of individuals: diaspora, diplomats, Dutch government agents and friends, responded positively to the invitation and came to the residence of the Ambassador to join in the festivities on 11 October 2018.
