On 11 September 2025, H.E. Mr. Asi Mamanee, Ambassador of Thailand, met with Mr. Bouke Arends, Mayor of Westland, to exchange views on Westland’s success as a global hub for horticulture. The meeting highlighted opportunities for agricultural cooperation and ways to expand collaboration within the Global Alliance of Horticultural Regions.
Discussions focused on sustainable agriculture and advanced greenhouse technology — key areas that can contribute to the development of Thailand’s horticultural sector and further strengthen bilateral agricultural cooperation. On this occasion, Ambassador Mamanee also invited Dutch partners to take part in the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026, which will provide a valuable platform for expanding collaboration and promoting sustainable knowledge exchange in horticulture.
