New Book by Dr. Fernando Messias Published by Springer Nature
Lisbon, 28 November 2025 — Portuguese lawyer and researcher Dr. Fernando Messias has released his new book, “The Practice of Law and International Arbitration in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, published by Springer Nature. The publication offers an in-depth analysis of how artificial intelligence is transforming legal practice and international dispute resolution.

Dr. Messias’s book examines the ethical, organisational, and procedural implications of integrating artificial intelligence into law and arbitration. The official book launch will take place during the international seminar “AI and International Arbitration – Ethical and Practical Challenges in Light of the New CIArb Guidelines”, to be held on 28 November 2025 in Lisbon. The event is supported by the Fundação Lusíada, the CIArb Iberian Chapter, and Springer Nature.
