Portugal Day, or sometimes called Camões Day, is celebrated by Portuguese communities the world over to commemorate the unity of the Portuguese who have settled in all parts of the Earth.
In the Netherlands – The Hague, Ambassador of Portugal, H.E. Mrs Rosa Batoréu, celebrate Portugal’s National Day with a superb reception at her residence on June 12th 2019.
A huge number of Ambassadors, to mention just a few: Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Morocco, South Africa, Israel, Malaysia, Korea, Argentina, Australia, Ecuador, Czech Republic, Bolivia, Lebanon, Japan, Viet Nam, Guatemala, Chile, Armenia, Peru, Slovakia, Thailand, Ministers Plenipotentiary of Aruba and St Martin, Director General of the OPCW, Registrar of the International Court of Justice along with many invitees including the Portuguese diaspora, came by to say Feliz Dia de Portugal to Ambassador Rosa Batoréu.
The ambience was excellent and guests enjoyed the Portuguese wines and Portuguese snacks, including the traditional bolinhos de bacalhau, rissóis de camarões, pastéis de nata, queijo da serra and torta de laranja. Indeed, what a stylefull Portuguese afternoon it has been.
