The Government of Japan on November 3, 2014 announced the names of the persons who have been awarded this fall an imperial award. Among them Mr. Akira Oshima, director of the Amsterdam branch of the organization for the promotion of Japanese restaurants abroad. He will be distinguished in the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver rays, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Japanese cuisine in the Netherlands. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 13th at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo, Japan.
