H.E. Ambassador Lawrence Lenayapa, new Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom to the Netherlands, also the Permanent Representative of Kenya to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and leader of Kenya’s delegation to other International Organizations in the Netherlands.
Ambassador Lenayapa arrived in the Netherlands at the beginning of August 2018 and presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander on 29 August 2018.
The Ambassador most recently served as the State House Comptroller for the Kenyan Presidency and was also formerly the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources. In his new role as Ambassador, Mr. Lenayapa intends to prioritise his focus on Kenya’s developmental agenda that is guided by H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya. The Agenda, commonly known as the Big Four Agenda, will focus on moving Kenya forward in the areas of Manufacturing, Universal Healthcare, Housing and Food security.
