President William Ruto of Kenya visited the Netherlands for bilateral meetings and to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III in London. During his visit, he met with HM King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima, discussing financial inclusion and women's empowerment. One of the main objectives of President Ruto's visit was to raise awareness for the upcoming Africa Climate Action Summit in Nairobi. He visited the headquarters of the Global Centre on Adaptation and participated in a Strategic Dialogue for the summit. President Ruto emphasized the need for Africa to bring innovative solutions to climate change and sustainable development and called for a shift in the conversation from victimhood to action. He also highlighted the importance of climate financing and investment, advocating for a fair International Financial Architecture that includes Africa's interests. President Ruto discussed various topics, including technology, the blue economy, and the need for the African Union to be more effective in engaging with global partners. He concluded by inviting stakeholders to join the conversation on climate action and save the planet.
