Today the 3rd round of EU / UK negotiations started in Brussels, today David Davis, UK Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, and Michel Barnier, European Commission Chief Negotiator, will meet at the Berlaymont (VIP corner).
Other meetings are scheduled in the nexts three days: · Principals’ meeting Tuesday, 29 August 2017 · Negotiating Groups Wednesday, 30 August 2017 · Coordinators’ meetings · Negotiating Groups Thursday, 31 August 2017 · Closing Plenary.
There are three negotiating groups covering citizens’ rights, financial settlement and other separation issues. The issues related to Northern Ireland and the governance of the withdrawal agreement will be addressed by the Coordinators.
