Monday, 12 March 2018, Paris: France’s Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs in partnership with the French National Library (BnF) launched the «bibliothèque diplomatique numérique» in the presence of the Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry (“Quai d’Orsay”) Maurice Gourdault-Montagne as well as Laurence Engel, President of the French National Library.
Through he «bibliothèque diplomatique numérique» the Foreign Ministry makes more archives concerning diplomatic treaties and agreements available to the general public. Documents now available online include treaties of diplomatic, cultural, scientific and commercial value signed by France and various countries, institutions and entities around the globe.
