Monday, 2 December 2019, Munich, Free State of Bavaria, Germany: Ambassador Professor Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference was honoured with the ‘European Medal’ by the Bavarian state government at Elmau Castle for his year-long commitment at the helm of the Munich Security Conference, that brings decision-makers and thought leaders from all over the world together for key defence discussions.
The medal was bestowed upon Prof. Ischinger by State Minister Dr. Florian Herrmann, Head of the State Chancellery and Minister of State for Federal and European Affairs and Media of Bavaria.
